Der Salomon XT-4 – Ein Sneaker zwischen Gebirge und Großstadt
Die französische Marke Salomon hat innerhalb der letzten Jahre immer mehr Aufmerksamkeit in der Sneaker Welt generiert. Bereits 1947 wurde Salomon in den französischen Alpen gegründet. Anfänglich konzentrierte man sich auf den Wintersport und Ski-Schuhe, Skier und Ausrüstung beherrschten das Produktsegment. In den 90er Jahren erweiterte Salomon sein Angebot auf Wander- und Performance-Schuhe und wurde innerhalb kürzester Zeit einer der Marktführer in diesem Segment.
Salomon XT-4 – Der Trail Running Schuh
Heute wollen wir euch eines der erfolgreichsten Modelle etwas genauer vorstellen, den Salomon XT-4 OG. Ursprünglich wurde die XT-Serie als Trailrunning Schuhe konzipiert. Trailrunning bezeichnet das Laufen in der freien Natur, es geht auf unbefestigten Straßen auch mal über hügelige Reliefs. Im Vergleich zu anderen Lauf-Sportarten, wird beim Trailrunning der Geist und der gesamte Körper und nicht nur die Beine beansprucht. Gleiches gilt für die Untergründe, man läuft auf kleinen Pfaden, über Steine, im Schlamm, auf Gras oder sogar Schnee. Also ist klar, dass man dafür auch die richtigen Schuhe benötigt und Salomon liefert mit den XT-Modellen, mit die Besten.
Der XT-4 OG ist ein robuster Trailrunning-Schuh, der Stabilität und ein gedämpftes Laufgefühl bietet. In jahrelanger Arbeit und mit dem Feedback von Sportlern, wurde der Salomon XT-4 entwickelt. Sein Obermaterial besteht aus einer TPU-Folie, welche auf abriebfestes Mesh geschweißt wird. Durch diese Anwendung wird der Schuh leicht, er wiegt nur 358 Gramm, verliert aber nichts an seiner Robustheit. Außerdem bietet dieses Obermaterial verschiedene Möglichkeiten an Designs. Von Farbverläufen über Fotorealistische Prints bis hin zu monochromen Designs ist alles möglich. Die Außensohle ist mit Contagrip ausgestattet, einem Salomon-eigenem Profil, welches für unterschiedliche Untergründe geeignet ist. Die Zwischensohle verfügt über ein Agile-Chassis-System, kurz ACS, welches zur Gesamtstabilität des Salomon XT-4 beiträgt. In Kombination mit der Energy-Cell-Zwischensohle aus EVA-Schaumstoff von zwei verschiedenen Härtegraden, bietet die Sohle eine perfekte Stoßdämpfung.

The Gorpcore scene has no shortage of functional clothing from well-known brands, such as The North Face, Columbia, or Arc'Teryx. But footwear designed for more than just hiking was something none of the major sneaker brands had to offer, aside from Nike ACG sneakers perhaps. While in the beginning sneakers from Salomon were more of a household name to a small group of nerds, the brand's popularity quickly spread. The thoughtful design and the variety of color design options, helped Salomon to sell its shoes to fashionable urbanites. First and foremost, the Salomon XT-4 OG, whose upper material allows creative freedom. In addition, you can determine the look of the welded TPU film, which allows a very technical look. The same applies to the ACS, which makes a powerful impression, especially in the carbon look. Another design feature of the Salomon XT-4 is the quick lace system. Although the laces are skinny, the material is much stronger than flat laces. With the help of small plastic eyelets, the shoe can be tightly laced with one hand, making it easy to put on or take off.
Our idea for the editorial of the Salomon XT-4 is inspired by the model itself. Because both as a performance sneakers in the outdoors, as well as a fashionable sneaker for every day, you can use the shoe.
