Maharishi
The name Maharishi means "great seer" in Sanskrit and perfectly describes the innovative collections of the brand. It is due to the label that camouflage has become an integral part of streetwear. What is taken for granted today, was still a big exception in the 90s. Maharishi's pieces are inspired by military clothing, which includes camouflage. For Blechman, however, camouflage, which he calls "DPM - Disruptive Pattern Material," is a derivation from nature, and the designer is influenced by it as well. Sustainability is one of Maharishi's pillars, as well as high quality, functionality, and the guarantee that his fabrics are created under fair working conditions. Maharishi's streetwear is priced in the upper, but the high quality and exclusivity of these products justify it in any case. Hardy Blechman created some of the fabrics for Maharishi's clothing himself, which is further proof of his attention to detail. He is also known for his mix of different cultural influences, which can be found in his designs. In addition to outdoor and military clothing, there are also parts with elaborate embroidery in the form of dragons or tigers from Asian culture.
