The ASICS GEL-KAYANO 12.1 revisits the characteristic design language of the GEL-KAYANO 12 from 2006 and combines it with modern cushioning technology for a technical retro-running look. Inspired by the structural forms of European Gothic armor, the complex upper combines open mesh panels with curved, layered overlays. The White / Cream colorway offers a particularly versatile appearance: white mesh forms the bright foundation, while cream-colored ASICS Stripes, metallic silver overlays and subtle light grey elements provide depth and contrast. Milky translucent GEL sections in a warm cream shade add a futuristic character to the sole. For enhanced comfort, the GEL-KAYANO 12.1 adopts the tooling system of the GEL-NIMBUS 17. GEL technology in the rearfoot and forefoot supports shock absorption, while the FLUIDRIDE cushioning structure promotes a pleasantly soft feel underfoot. A solution-dyed recycled mesh sockliner complements the functional construction. The ASICS sneaker therefore combines authentic Y2K running aesthetics with breathable materials, technical cushioning and a detailed appearance for versatile everyday styling.
